The 7th Congressional District is

Washington’s most ethnically

diverse district. We initiated the

‘Celebrating Our Roots’ Festival as a

way to recognize and honor that

diversity and – in a salute to my

own Irish heritage – hold it each

year in March near St. Patrick’s Day.

I hope you can join us at this year’s

celebration!

Another proud tradition of our

Roots Festival is honoring someone

who has made a difference in the

life of our community. Please join

me in honoring...

Special Guest:

Rita Zawaideh

Rita is a powerful voice for justice and

fairness in a time when fear and

discrimination have become so

prevalent in our society.
